Greater Dubuque Development and Regional Partners Take Action to Support Displaced Workers in Southwest Wisconsin

On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Greater Dubuque Development brought together over 20 employers and workforce partners for the AccessDubuqueJobs.com Career Fair in Platteville. Held at the Platteville Public Library, this career fair was organized in response to recent layoffs and closures in the Southwest Wisconsin area. Although designed to target those impacted by the layoffs, the event was also promoted broadly to the general public to help our regional employers retain the workforce that already calls the Tri-State area home.

Gratitude to the Department of Workforce Development, Wisconsin Job Service and Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board for their presence at the event and for helping us, along with Grant County Economic Development Corporation and Platteville Economic Development Partners, to promote opportunities to Tri-State residents.
