Recruitment Topic of Discussion for Quarterly HR Professionals Cohort Convening

On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, more than 35 HR professionals gathered for our quarterly HR Professionals Cohort to delve into the latest recruiting trends and statistics. The session was designed to be interactive, with participants first being organized into small groups to tackle a quiz-style activity centered around current HR recruiting stats.

Each group was tasked with matching recruiting stats to corresponding percentages which lead to lively discussions at every table. Once all the groups successfully paired up the recruiting stats, the cohort reconvened as a larger group to further examine the trends highlighted by the activity, fostering conversation and an exchange of valuable insights and best practices.

Here are a few noteworthy recruiting stats that fueled stimulating discussions:

  • Job postings that include salary information receive 75% more clicks compared to those without disclosure (Source: G2, 2023).
  • 6% of companies reported utilizing AI for recruiting to a "high degree" (Source: HR.com).
  • 15% of job seekers have declined a job offer due to concerns about the company's culture (Source: Builtin).

Thank you to Colleen Callahan, Director of US Support Operations with PBS Systems, Mitch Frank, Recruiting Specialist for Dupaco Community Credit Union, and Joe Vermeulen, Assistant HR Manager for Molo Companies for co-facilitating the peer-to-peer discussions.

The next HR Professionals Cohort is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the Northeast Iowa Community College Town Clock Business Center, 680 Main Street in downtown Dubuque. Training & Development is the selected topic and registration is now open via SurveyMonkey.
