AccessDubuqueJobs.com Spring Career Fair Set For February 21, 2024

Save the date for our AccessDubuqueJobs.com Spring Career Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Hotel Julien in downtown Dubuque. Employer registration opened on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

In addition to being open to the public, our Spring Career Fair is traditionally focused on engaging students from our local institutions of higher learning. Career services staff from these respective institutions will be on-hand to coach students for networking with potential employers and the opportunity to have a complimentary professional head shot taken for use on social media profiles and future job applications is a big draw for students. We work closely with the local colleges to help promote this event to their students, providing them with branded print and digital resources to help them spread the word. Participating employers can expect to meet with students seeking internship and apprenticeship opportunities, part-time employment that works with their school schedule, and full-time, entry-level employment upon graduation.

In prioritizing engagement with our college student population and to better align with schedules across our area colleges, the time frame of the AccessDubuqueJobs.com Spring Career has been expanded. Participating employers will now have the option to attend from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to better connect with students from all area colleges, or to tend to their booth from just 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Coffee, water, and light snacks will be available to employers but lunch will not be provided.

As noted, the career fair will also be open to the public. Greater Dubuque Development will begin promoting the event to the general public after the holidays by investing in print, digital and radio advertising, search engine marketing, targeted social media ads, and more.
