2025 Talent Dubuque Events
Welcome Lunch
Thursday, June 12 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Grand River Center | 500 Bell St, Dubuque, IA
The Welcome Lunch will feature a professional development session with Lisa Schaefer, MSE of Shine with Schaefer, LLC. Lisa’s interactive workshop, "Creating an Unstoppable Mindset," will help interns develop confidence, adaptability, and leadership skills to thrive in both their careers and personal lives. Participants will leave with strategies to build resilience, foster strong networks, and embrace a growth mindset for long-term success.
Choose-Your-Saturday Dubuque Farmer’s Market
Any Saturday through October | 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Participants will receive a $15 voucher redeemable during this summer's Dubuque Farmers’ Market by Dubuque Main Street. Voucher should be taken to the Market Information Booth at the corner of 12th Street and Iowa Street to exchange for tokens valid for use at any vendor booth during 2025 Summer Dubuque Farmers' Market; token use excludes the purchase of alcohol.
Derby Grange Intern Night
Wednesday, June 25 | 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Breitbach's Derby Grange Golf & Recreation Center | 13079 Derby Grange Rd., Dubuque, IA
Enjoy an evening of mini-golf, the driving range, and batting cages, with walking tacos catered by Hy-Vee. This event is designed to foster connections between interns from different colleges and businesses, helping students form meaningful relationships in Dubuque.
Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals (YP) Luncheon
Wednesday, July 16 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Interns will have the opportunity to attend a YP Luncheon hosted by the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, connecting with young professionals and business leaders in the region. Jennifer Mond, Director of Human Resources for HODGE, will present “Take care of your network, and your network will take care of you!” as the luncheon's speaker.
Throughout the summer, each participating intern will also receive weekly emails delivered to their inboxes highlighting community events that they can participate in on their own, offering even more opportunities to explore the Greater Dubuque region.
Talent Dubuque: An Intern Engagement Program is once again FREE and open to interns of Workforce Solutions Investors or any student currently enrolled in a regional institution of higher learning.
