Greater Dubuque Development’s Future Leadership Team met on March 1, 2023 for their quarterly meeting. This quarter’s presentation and discussion was facilitated by Rick Dickinson, President & CEO and Nic Hockenberry, Director of Workforce Programing for Greater Dubuque Development and focused on child care. The team learned about the new childcare facility that was purchased by Dubuque Initiatives. The Future Leadership Team shared feedback on the challenges as they relate to quality, affordability and availability of childcare, offering unique insights based on their personal and professional experiences, to inform decision-making by Greater Dubuque Development staff and its Board of Directors.
The 30 members of the Future Leadership Team serve staggered 24-month terms, and provide feedback to the board of directors and management team on annual and long-range strategies to achieve the objectives of Greater Dubuque Development.
