Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque received the 134th Magnet designation in the nation in November 2004 and, in 2009, achieved re-designation as Magnet. Only 2% of the nation's hospitals have met the rigorous standards required to achieve re-designation.Magnet recognition requires that hospitals demonstrate a strong commitment to nursing practice and the practice setting so that nurses and other clinicians are able to provide their best care.
The Finley Hospital Rated Top 100 Hospital and Wins Coveted Everest Award
The Finley Hospital was named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals® by Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. The award recognizes hospitals that have achieved excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, patient satisfaction, financial performance, and operational efficiency.The Finley Hospital also won the coveted Everest Award, which 'honors an elite special group that has reached the highest level of accomplishment on the national Balanced Scoreboard and have the fastest rates of long term improvement. There are three main physician's groups: Medical Associates Clinic and Health Plans, Dubuque Internal Medicine and The Tri-State Independent Physician's Association. They provide a broad range of primary care and surgical specialties.
