Collaboration is key among workforce partners to successfully address the full scope of workforce challenges within a community.
Greater Dubuque Development has taken workforce development strategy to the next level through a community-wide partnership called
Dubuque Works. Partners work to analyze and revitalize existing workforce strategies, identify and address workforce gaps, and work
together to seamlessly provide the strongest workforce solutions for companies that choose to make the Greater Dubuque area their home.
We also ensure those who choose Dubuque as a place to live, work, and play are not only welcomed into the community, but are equipped with the knowledge they need to make the most of their experience through our innovative Newcomers Program. This type of service has been proven to reduce employee turnover, specifically within the first 90 days of employment.
Each of the Dubuque Works partners has a specific role in this collaborative approach to workforce development. Contact each of them directly to learn more about their participation.
Dubuque Works is made possible through financial support provided by the City of Dubuque, Dubuque Racing Association, and the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors.
