Distinctively DUBUQUE: A fun way for newcomers to experience Dubuque

Welcome! You've made the decision to move to the Greater Dubuque area. The movers are gone, the boxes are unpacked, and you are settled in.

Now it's time to really make this new destination home.

Greater Dubuque Development, in partnership with Northeast Iowa Community College's Town Clock Center for Professional Development, has created an interactive, hands-on learning experience where you'll gain valuable knowledge about the community in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Hosted by a variety of high-energy presenters with in-depth knowledge of the Greater Dubuque area, the Distinctively DUBUQUE program offers opportunities to:

  • meet new people
  • learn about Dubuque's arts and culture offerings, recreation spots, things to do, and more
  • have fun while exploring the city
  • participate in networking activities with community leaders and residents
  • discover Dubuque traditions which make Dubuque distinct
  • get a sneak-peek look at hot, up-and-coming projects in the Dubuque area

This free program meets once per week for five weeks, each session is three hours which includes sharing, learning, activities, socializing, and hands-on learning. Sessions include a meal and is limited to 25 people.

Distinctively DUBUQUE is open to all, although it is particularly recommended for those relatively new to the community. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
