IBM announced a new technology service delivery center, creating up to 1,300 jobs. Employees will manage IBM's servers and storage systems that are critical for assuring optimal IT infrastructure performance. IBM will occupy the historic Roshek Building in downtown Dubuque, which is undergoing a $25 million restoration project. Utilizing industry-leading energy-efficient technology, the newly 'green' building will serve as a model for sustainable development, historic preservation, and community revitalization.

Waukesha, Wisconsin-based HUSCO International announced expansion of their operations into Maquoketa, Iowa. The company intends to create at least 200 new jobs. HUSCO's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Agustin A. Ramirez praised the area's workforce as a strong selling point, "We were convinced that worker skills and technical training capabilities in the area are superior to those of the other locations we reviewed."
February 2008
ITC announced plans to build a new 30,000 square foot facility in Dubuque Industrial Center West. The new location will serve as a hub for ITC's regional business activity.
January 2008
The company is building an $89 million, state-of-the-art food processing facility in Dubuque Industrial Center West. The Austin, Minnesota-based company broke ground in summer 2008 and plans to be operational in 327,000 square feet of new space in January 2010.
July 2006
Western Dubuque BioDiesel LLC broke ground for a new facility that will yield 30 million gallons of biodiesel and 3 million gallons of glycerin annually. The company will create 30 jobs.
April 2006
Investing $1.8 million and constructing a 10,000 square foot office complex in Dubuque Technology Park, the company will create 24 new jobs in this new corporate headquarter facility.
